Cream Mother's Day Card

This is the card I made for my Mum for Mother's Day.  Unfortunately she doesn't have the best of health and is going blind so I wanted it to be special for her and although she'll be able to see some of it (and my big sis can describe it to her) I added some texture so she can at least get an idea of it.

Thanks for always being there mum - and especially for all our chats into the wee small hours trying not to wake the rest of the house laughing hysterically at something stupid xxx

This time I was inspired by two cards:
  • Wanda's beautiful card at My Creative Corner
  • and Jennie "The Crafty Wife" (my lovely MSE friend - thanks again for you RAK!)  I thought Jennie's Mother's Day card was gorgeous!!
The glitter card is from my card stock.
The background paper is from here and here
The script paper and flower was sent to me by Jennie (if you check out her Mother's Day card you'll spot them!)
The picture was taken from here.  I thought it matched the rest perfectly.

Hope you like it.

What I Made Today

Chris spent today watching the football so I decided to spend my time making my Mum and Dad's Anniversay card. It's hard to believe they've been married 62 years - I hasten to add I was an afterthought (much to my 3 big sisters' amusement). I tried out my new printer and had great fun. I did struggle a bit with the card as I felt I couldn't get the colours to work together. I also think I need to save some pennies for some stash.

The images were from AngiesHot Decoupage album and David Tunis, the background paper was from Canon Creative Park and I made the Sentiment myself on MS Word

I'm going to enter this in my first challenge "GC41: Chestnut Challenge - Romance". I think my card looks romantic so wish me luck. x

My 2nd Card

This is still a bit of a catch up post. This is my 2nd card. It was for my mum's birthday, she's in her eighties and likes traditional cards. I have just posted it to her so I'll find out if she likes it next week.
The card was again from the one's I bought before Christmas. The striped paper, flower ribbon and decoupage flower were from Jak Heath. The "Birthday Wishes" was from here. I copied it into MS Word and put my own colour coordinated border round it.
I'm going to make my Mum & Dad's Anniversary card this weekend so I'll keep you posted.
