Birthday Card for my Soul Mate

Hi there,  I hope you’re all having a great weekend.

Today I want to share the card I made for Chris for his birthday last week.  As I was making this he was totally engrossed in his PS3 so the image was really appropriate.  I made the whole card while he was sitting about six feet away from me and was completely oblivious to it all until I put the envelope on the fire place LOL.  Please don’t look too closely at the colouring I made a bit of a hash of it in places but the printer is wireless and it doesn’t like the PS so every time I wanted to print something I had to ask Chris to save his game and switch it off… it wasn’t going down too well Rolling on the floor laughing  I would like to say a big thank you to Jennie from The Crafty Wife for her help with this card.

Anyhoo here’s the card – oh and he really liked it – SUCCESS!!

Lilac Card

Hello there bloggers.  I hope you’re all doing well.

The card I want to share with you today is a birthday card.  I think I’ve finally found my style now.  Oh and I made myself a light box so hopefully you’ll notice a difference in the picture quality from now on – the last ones have not turned out well at all.  I think it makes the card look cleaner and more lifelike so I’m really chuffed with these ones, in fact I took loads of pics and have gone all arty on you all Flirt male

So we have the front of the card…

The “arty” shots show the side on view, the insert and the bottom one (my fav) shows the card with the matching envelope.  I’ve started adding matching inserts to these – I think it looks really pretty.

The papers and sentiment were downloads (eek can’t remember where from but if you recognise them give me a shout and I’ll edit this post)

Is It A Box or Is It a Card???

Hi everyone, how are you all?

Before I start I’d better warn you this is a picture heavy post.

I was asked to make a birthday card for someone whose birthday was on Christmas Day (yeah I know enough with the Christmas it’s February!!).  It was to be a birthday card but with a Christmas feel to it, oh and could I make it with Peter Andre and One Direction on it somewhere too – so I scratched my head and thought… Christmas Present…
I made an exploding hexagon box.  (I needed six sides cos there’s five members of One Direction and one for Peter Andre) and made a rosette for the top to look like a bow.  This would make more sense if I showed you so here’s the outside….

Card-078

This is it with the lid off.  I printed off the pics on photo paper so they would be shiny, printed her name off in a Christmassy font and matted it all onto Christmas paper

Card-079

This picture didn’t turn out to well but it was just to show you the card I made for the centre so they could write on it.
Card-080
Here it all is with the decorated lid.  I added a few sparkles to the bow cos it needed a bit of a lift.

I’m pleased to say that Sophie loved it and so did her aunt, who commissioned it.  Is it just me or do you dread making commissions – I’m always frightened they don’t like it Flirt male

Materials

Papers from SuziQ Scraps
Images from the internet
Gems from stash
The sentiment and letters were freebies but I’m sorry I can’t remember where I got them from – if I remember I’ll come back and edit this

Puppy Dog Tails

Hi everyone, I hope you’ve all enjoyed your weekend.

Today I’m sharing a Birthday card with you.  The person has received it so I can safely share it with you.

Before I say anything else I have to say - Don’t you just love LOTV Cute Squares!!  I can’t get enough of these – although I have to admit this is the first one I’ve used on a card.  I bought loads at the SEC in October and couldn’t bare to use them – stooooopid or what?  Now I understand what you all mean about keeping your best papers and stroking them LOL.

I loved the colours in this and I’m really chuffed at how it turned out – in fact I think this is one of my best.  Hope you like it.

And Finally… the Last Christmas Card

Phew thanks for sticking with me guys… you’ll be pleased to hear this is the last of the Christmas cards!

This is another one I made for personalised cards.  I liked the jolly Santa image, it kind of reminds me of the Coke one.  You can’t really get more Christmassy than this one can you?

Can I say a big thank you to Trisha because the punch I used here was part of  her amazing Blog Candy that I was lucky enough to win.  Please check out her blog and send her some love.

Nearly Finished with the Christmas Cards

Hello again fellow bloggers.  I can’t believe it’s February already – time is flying by.

Tonight I have another Christmas card to show you.  To be honest this was my favourite one I made this year.  I made a couple of these extra special ones.

Card-075

Sorry the picture isn’t great on this, the picture was taken at night.  I will get around to making some kind of light box, what can I say, it’s on my to do list – but I’m sure you know what it’s like – you score one thing off it and add a dozen…  There’s just so much incredible inspiration out there and I want to make everything Smile

Well you’ll be pleased to hear I’ve only got one more Christmas card to show you so I’ll be back soon with that one.
