Work In Progress
This is what I'm making at the moment. Chris was throwing out an old pair of jeans so I saved them from the bin to make into a new funky bag for myself. I've ripped the jeans into strips and wove them together. It's a bit fiddley but I really like the look of it. I've a few more strips to add and figure out a way to add the handles - which I'm going to make from the trouser bottom seams. I can't decide whether to line it with something or maybe decorate it with the jean pockets but we'll see...

ReplyDeleteI once saw a lady at a folk festival making a patchwork quilt/rug with denim and it looks really funky x
This is brilliant - can't wait to see it finished. I have a pair of jeans upstairs that I have been holding on to as they have gone holey. I was going to do a cushion - I never would have even thought of this!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. Can't wait to see it finished. x
