Hi again, thanks for taking the time to look at my blog and I hope you've all had a great holiday weekend.
Chris reminded me that it's his Dad's birthday this week so I thought I'd better get my skates on and get his card made. His dad has many talents - the main one being painting but I thought I'd try to be a bit different and remembered that he used to love playing the guitar. He hasn't played for a while so hopefully this might give him the notion.
Before I show you the card I have to point out to the musicians amongst you that I can't play a note nor can I read music which will explain why I managed to stick the music notes border onto my card upside down - you would have thought the numbers would have given me a clue wouldn't you LOL. Why is it you only notice these details after you've firmly stuck it down? "D'oh" to quote Homer Simpson!

Great card Jaqui! That happens to me too!!
ReplyDeleteFab card. Every chance I would've done the same thing! x
ReplyDeleteWhether the border's on upside down or not, it's a great idea for a card! If he notices tell him well done on spotting it and you did it to give the card more interest lol!!!!! Great card, I'm not clever enough to think of things like that!
ReplyDeleteWow fabulous card, a lovely one for a musician. Thanks for joining us at Cards for Men, and good luck with the Challenge. With hugs Shirleyx
ReplyDeleteFab card... When you give it to Chris's dad, you could always ask him if he noticed your deliberate mistake and time him? ;0 Christine x
ReplyDeleteFab card i wouldn't have noticed the border was upside down unless you had pointed it out.
ReplyDeleteLovely looking card Jacqui (even nicer than your new background!) - and I'm sure he won't see the upside down notes if you pop something inside to tempt him past the front... maybe a voucher for cooking his fave dinner? Then he'll be opening it up before he notices! xox
ReplyDeleteLove the card, the border is not upside down its Australian :) x
ReplyDeleteOoops never mind! I made a left-handed one last week lol. It's still a great idea though and I love the way you have swirled the backing paper. xx
ReplyDeleteOops a daisy, never mind.Lovely card, I'm sure he'll be inspired to play his guitar some more
ReplyDeleteThat's a really lovely card, I wouldn't have noticed the notes were upside down
ReplyDeleteThis is fab, if you hadn't have mentioned the upside down bit I would have been oblivious!
ReplyDeleteGreat card - I wouldn't have noticed the notes either!!
